The Road Goes on Forever.....But the "Parties" Never End.....

Ok....it's been awhile....things happen.  I know we have broken the blogging posting rules by not blogging at least once a week or once a month.  So I'm going to catch you up on what's been going on since our last post!

December

Our two families celebrating Christmas together!

January

We started working on the shower and wedding for Kathy's precious daughter, Katy.

February

Katy and Austin's Shower

Vintage Travel was the theme for the bridal shower.  I set up this old suitcase and placed an old
license plate, several old hotel soaps, and vintage travel postcards inside the suitcase.  Each guest was given a postcard
to write down their best marriage advice on one side and their favorite place to travel on the other side.  The   refreshments were all named after a country.

A closer look inside the vintage suitcase.

Italian Sticks.....cheese, tomatoes, and basil leaves.

I paid $3.00 for the old camera flashcard and then found the matching vintage camera  for $1.00 in Canton!
I took an old negative from some of my pictures and taped it around a battery operated candle.

Katy and Austin's wedding date is 4/20....so I found this beautiful Bible verse from
Phil. 4-20.  This will now be their wedding anniversary verse.

German Bundt Cakes

Quotes about marriage and life were printed onto road maps.

French Fruit Cups

A picture of Chuck..... Katy and Austin's Boxer.

Luggage tags were given out for the party favors.

Russian Roasted Nuts served in these cute little cupcake wrappers.  The topper was a gift given to my grandparents on their 50th Wedding Anniversary.  Mamaw would be so happy that we are still using it today for special occasions.

Vatican Vegetables and Dip

Served food from this Shabby Chic dresser.

March

Kathy designed this candy bar for the wedding.  Isn't it the cutest one ever!!!  She made the Candy Bar sign,  the Love, and Cherish candy holders and the sewing machine drawer.  They turned out so cute!  Maybe she will blog about those real soon!

April

Wedding Day...........It was such an amazing day!

Katy and Austin, one of the sweetest couples I know.

Dad walking Katy down the isle.

Sisters, these two girls just melt my heart!

May

We took a little break and headed to the Highland Park Pharmacy....it's like going back in time about 50 years.  Then Kathy started helping with her niece's wedding and I started planning a party for Mother's Day!

Mother's Day

Our Mother's Day theme was BINGO. We served up some yummy Bingo Burgers and had some delicious Bingo Balls for dessert.

I made this Bingo shirt to wear for the party.  I had all the girls' pictures on it.

Everyone playing a fun game of Bingo

The Bingo Caller

The delish Bingo Balls my wonderful sister-in-law made!

And we had a photo booth at the Bingo Hall!

June

We had a Father's Day party at our house.  The theme was "Camp Dad."  It was a great day!

Found this banner at Wal-Mart for .99 and added the CAMP letters.

Love this center piece so much!  Found the hats and Dad's Root Beers  at the Dollar Store!

Here's the camp schedule.

You can't have camp and not have games!

This was the camp's Arts and Crafts Room...

Our Dads!

July

July started with us getting together to cut the cheese!  It was so much stinkin' fun!  LOL!  We cut up cheese for the wedding reception for Kathy's beautiful niece, Becca.

Lots of cheese to cut!

She is such a sweet, beautiful bride!

 The wedding cake

Aren't they a beautiful couple!!!

August

We are having a house warming party for Kathy's daughter, Ry, this Sunday!  Can't wait to see her new home....We are so proud of you, Ry!

Pictures to come!

Well, as you can tell, our road goes on forever, but the "parties" never end!
