Jan Jo's Ham, Tater and Green Beans




This recipe has been handed down for five generations.  We call it Ham, Taters and Green Beans.  My grandmother Georgia Gunter Hirsch, affectionately known as "Jan Jo" made it at least once a week.  It was a family favorite.




                                                                 




What you will need:

*   2 cans of kitchen cut green beans
*   3-4 medium Potatoes, I use Idaho, but any will do
*   Ham-precooked



Peel and cube potatoes.. 

Cut ham in large pieces.  Put the ham, potatoes and two cans of green beans (do not drain) in a large dutch oven.  Add salt and pepper to taste. 



Boil until potatoes are soft.  Enjoy!  I serve with cornbread.
